Detects the use of Adobe Flash, which is obsolete and unsupported.
This check looks for embedded Adobe Flash content on your page, including Flash-based SWF files, '<object>' and '<embed>' tags that reference Flash content.
Adobe Flash was officially discontinued in December 2020 and is no longer supported by any modern web browser, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. It had major security vulnerabilities that were frequently exploited by hackers, and it never worked on mobile devices like iPhones and iPads.
Any Flash content on your site will simply not work for your visitors — they'll see a blank area or an error message. Search engines cannot crawl or index Flash content at all. If any critical content or navigation relies on Flash, it must be completely rebuilt using modern web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
