Checks for nested tables, which should not be used for layout.
This check looks for HTML tables that are placed inside other tables (nested tables). This was a common technique for creating complex page layouts in the late 1990s and early 2000s, before modern CSS layout tools existed.
Using tables for page layout is an obsolete and highly inaccessible practice. The resulting code is bloated, rigid, and very difficult for screen readers to interpret correctly. Modern layouts should be built with CSS tools like Flexbox and Grid, which are more flexible, accessible, and performant.
Nested tables negatively impact accessibility (screen readers cannot properly convey the page structure to blind users), page performance (the extra HTML bloat slows download and rendering), and code maintainability (making future updates to your layout extremely difficult).
