Counts the total number of words on the page.
This check counts the total number of words in the visible body content of your page, excluding navigation, footers, and code.
While there's no magic word count number, pages with very little text (often called 'thin content') typically struggle to rank in competitive search results. A higher word count often signals more comprehensive, in-depth content that both users and search engines find valuable. Google tends to reward pages that thoroughly cover a topic.
Pages with very low word count (under 300 words) may be viewed by search engines as low-value or thin content, making it very difficult to rank for competitive keywords. This doesn't mean more is always better — quality matters more than quantity — but having enough substance to fully cover your topic is important.
