Identifies internal links marked with rel="nofollow" where that is likely unintended.
This check scans your page's internal links for `rel="nofollow"` attributes. Internal nofollow links tell search engines not to follow the link or pass link equity to the target page. While sometimes intentional (for login pages or internal search), it's often an unintended side effect of CMS plugins or blanket nofollow policies.
Nofollow on internal links prevents link equity from flowing to those pages. This is almost never desirable for internal links — you want search engines to discover and value all your important pages through your internal linking structure.
Unintended internal nofollow links 'waste' link equity that could strengthen your target pages. Important pages behind nofollow links may rank lower than they should due to reduced internal link equity.
